General Statement

CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) is an independent, non-profit economic and public policy research institution. Established in 1991 in Warsaw, CASE today is an internationally-renowned think tank drawing on the talents of prominent economists and driving the creation of a network of partner institutions in transition countries. CASE carries out policy-oriented research and development assistance projects, aiming to provide objective economic analysis and to promote constructive solutions to the challenges of transition, reform, integration and development in order to improve the socio-economic well-being of societies. CASE has extensive experience in working with the international donor community: numerous assignments for various DGs of the European Commission, the European Parliament, Open Society Institute, Eurofound, UNDP, USAID and World Bank. CASE relies on its pool of internationally-recognised economic experts to carry out the following activities: conducting independent, high-quality research and analysis; advising governments, international organisations and the NGO sector; informing and encouraging public debate; disseminating economic knowledge and research results; and supporting the growth and independence of the NGO sector in post-communist countries.

Objectives of the Euromed/Middle East programme(s)

CASE Middle East programme focuses on the European Neighbourhood Policy, socio-economic transition of MENA countries, as well as the interactions between religion and economics in the region.

CASE E-Analyses, Modelling Papers, Network Reports, Working Papers and Insights on macroeconomic and social policy, trade, labor market, institutional reforms and climate change in the Middle East and North Africa region.
