General Statement

The aim of CAWTAR is to generate knowledge and enhance the capacity of Arab institutions to use this knowledge in ways that enable Arab women to become fully empowered and to exercise their rights to participate in the development of their communities.

  • Increased Role of Women in Environment Sustainability with Particular Emphasis on Water Resources Management
  • A more favorable policy and institutional environment for addressing gender issues and women's exercise of their human rights


Objective of the Euromed / Middle East programme

To facilitate the gender mainstreaming and to contribute to deeper the knowledge of the Arab region on pertinent topics such as: Media, Globalization and Economic participation, Decision-Making, Adolescents migration, Gender Based Violence Network, Gender & Water.
