Call for papersEuroMeSCo and the IEMed have launched a Call for Euro-Med Papers, whose objective is the preparation and development of research papers with the goal of contributing to a greater understanding of the Euro-Mediterranean reality in its distinct political, socio-economic and cultural aspects, and providing proposals to improve it.
Upon request of some members, the deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended for 10 days. The new deadline is now October 30th, 2010.
The research works can cover some of the following topics:

- Revisiting Euro-Med relations
- The emerging institutional architecture in Euro-Med relations
- Euro-Med relations with adjoining areas – Mediterranean sub-regionalism
- Resolution of conflicts in the Euro-Med area
- Sustainable development and socio-economic reforms
- The Union for the Mediterranean’s projects
- Euro-Med political, social and cultural relations
- Proposals for encouraging and reinforcing South-South economic and political cooperation and integration.

The contest will consist of the following phases:
- 1st Phase: Call for Papers: 1 October 2010
- 2nd Phase: Submission of Abstracts: 30th October 2010
- 3rd Phase: Acceptance of Abstracts selected: 5th November 2010
- 4th Phase: Submission of the definitive document: 30th January 2011


The Call for Papers is open to experts and researchers linked to research, study and analysis centres and institutes focusing on the Mediterranean reality, members of the EuroMeSCo network.
